Very interesting Gothic chair in ebonised oak with ivory inlay (inset pictures show detail).

c. 1860

Top finial inlaid with pictures of Green Man. Lower part of finial inlaid with pipes of pan. Inlaid pattern on seat is geometric and back splat very decorative with Greek God (?) in temple with green man over and leaf decoration. The stretchers to the chair are wavy and meet in the form of a bird. The legs are turned and box strung with ivory.
